Division of Consumer Protection obtains Default Judgement against K-Street Advertising Inc., One Touch Media, LLC, Aaron Vincent Christner and Ryan Scott Jensen for $425K fine, and to permanent injunction from doing business in Utah.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Francine A. Giani, Executive Director of the Utah Department of Commerce, announced today that the Utah Division of Consumer Protection in partnership with the Utah Attorney General’s Office obtained a Default Judgment in Third District Court against K-Street Advertising, Inc., One Touch Media, LLC, Aaron Vincent Christner, and Ryan Scott Jensen for a combined judgment of $425,993 for numerous violations of the Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act and Telephone Fraud Prevention Act. The named parties were cited by the Division on numerous occasions since 2008. Investigators discovered through an ongoing case that the above named entities and individuals were continuing to break state laws leading to the Division filing suit in District Court to permanently enjoin future violations of law.

“I feel strongly about the importance of protecting consumers, and applaud the Division of Consumer Protection as it addresses such repeated and flagrant violations of Utah’s consumer protection laws,” said Attorney General Sean Reyes. “The Utah Attorney General’s Office will continue to work handin-hand with the Division in an effort to reign in offenders.”

The Default Judgment directs K-Street Advertising, Inc., One Touch Media, LLC, Aaron Vincent Christner and Ryan Scott Jensen to pay the Division of Consumer Protection $425,993.92 plus attorney and investigation fees, permanently bars the above named entities and individuals from operating any business regulated by the Division and permanently bars them from selling assisted marketing plans or operating a telemarketing business.

The default judgment was entered by Judge Elizabeth A. Hruby-Mills in Third District Court on September 17, 2014.
